Anne Hardy is a British artist (b. 1970), internationally recognised for her large-scale sculptural installations and immersive sensory environments that combine physical materials with lighting and surround sound, often site-specific and foregrounding their processes of production.
Hardy’s edition for Modern Art Oxford was produced to accompany her 2015/16 exhibition FIELD, a series of immersive environments created in-situ across Modern Art Oxford’s galleries.
The image for Hardy’s edition was taken during her 2014 residency at Modern Art Oxford, prior to her exhibition. The texts are both fragments of speech which feature in one of the audio works of FIELD and also instructions for making sounds using various materials.
Exclusively made for Modern Art Oxford, our artist editions are often created to accompany a major exhibition in the galleries. Modern Art Oxford is a charity and all proceeds from the sale of these works directly support our exhibition and education programmes. All editions come with a certificate of authenticity.
