This is the third volume of Museum of Modern Art Papers and contains 11 essays marking the widespread recognition of Gustav Metzger in twentieth century art.
The majority of the writings were first delivered at the conference Hand in the Fire in November 1998 which accompanied the exhibition Gustav Metzger at Modern Art Oxford.
