Poster created for the exhibition Kerry Tribe: Dead Star Light (27 September - 20 November 2011).
American artist Kerry Tribe’s ambitious projects in film, video and installation form an on-going investigation into memory, subjectivity and doubt. In this, the final in a series of three new commissioned solo exhibitions organised by Modern Art Oxford, Camden Arts Centre, London, and Arnolfini, Bristol, Tribe presented a new body of work under the title Dead Star Light. Dead Star Light was made up of a constellation of three new works that together develop Tribe’s ideas in relation to memory from a number of perspectives, including theme of flight, portraiture, and the interpretive role of the viewer.
