Scream & Scream Again: Film In Art brings together the work of six young artists from America and Great Britain working with film and video installation: Sadie Benning, Douglas Gordon, Issac Julien, Tony Oursler, Liisa Roberts and Marjike van Warmerdam.
1993 was the centenary year of European cinema, and the Museum of Modern Art, Oxford, seized the opportunity to continue its long commitment to film and video by producing an exhibition which distilled some of the keys issues in the thinking of younger artists working in film and video. The result was a show diverse in its form and meaning, united by its concern with the cinematic.
